While this is an intriguing concept, collecting static scenes from Pixar movies and arranging them across the color spectrum, the execution isn't at all what I would have hoped or wanted. Each image is framed by what is supposed to be its dominant (I guess?) color, yet in some cases it's clearly...

This book is absolutely beautiful to look through. This book contains single frames from all different Pixar movies ranging from Toy Story to the newest one - Coco. You look at each frame - out of context and it uses the spectrum of color has a connecting theme. Very beautiful

This is a beautiful little book. In spite of its small size - only 8.25" wide by 6.25" tall - I think of it kind of like a little coffee table book. The book seeks to show how color is used in the films of Pixar. As the introduction explains, the idea is to take "single frames from the studio's f...

For true Pixar Fans. This is a beautiful little book full of beautiful photo stills of the movies you know and Love. Little details you may have missed in the movie can be seen in these. The forward says that you see each of these shots for 1/24th of a second. We grabbed this on our way out of th...

Although there wasn't any context as to why these particular scenes were chosen and how the color schematic was used in each scene, it was pretty cool seeing the scenes tied together in a way that lets you connect the different movies together that you otherwise probably wouldn't have (at least f...

Incredible! Each frame is only seen for 1/24 of a second (the blink of an eye) on film, and yet, each is a stand alone work of art. Each frame is a beat in a greater story and yet, has its own possibilities. Look closely and you'll see the detail in these animations is phenomenal. Initially, I wa...

A super pretty book when you view it as a flip book to get the full rainbow effect but when you actually sit down and look at every page, it falls just a little flat in my opinion. A lot of the frame color choices for the stills are kind of a stretch in terms of its prominent color and some still...

This was not exactly what I was expecting. I picked this up after reading The Art of Coco which had beautiful artwork along with some text from different artists that worked on the project. The short paragraphs helped explain the creative process and made you appreciate the finished product so mu...

Gorgeous book that arranges cels from beloved Pixar films into a color spectrum. This format really shows how color helps to convey the emotion of the story. If you are a lover of Pixar animation - as I am -- this book will help you relive these lovely moments and give you all the feels.
